It’s no secret that GoKid is a great tool that helps parents easily set up carpools to get kids safely to and from school and activities. With schedules, reminders, and driving routes available right within the app, it’s easy to stay on task and get everyone to where they need to be, on time.
GoKid offers many features to make a parent’s life easier, including:
- Carpool driving parents always get a reminder about where and when the carpool is
- Kids can sign in and see the carpool schedule themselves, so they know who’s picking them up and how they’re getting home
- Grandparents and babysitters can be added to your GoKid family as drivers
But now, we’ve made GoKid even better, thanks to our new partnership with TeamSnap.
The GoKid and TeamSnap Partnership
When we created GoKid, some of the earliest requests that we received from parents were for the ability to put sports schedules into the app. We listened and found a solution: A partnership with TeamSnap.
TeamSnap consolidates all of your kid’s sports team information into one place. You can access game and event schedules, see who’s able to make it to games, view and post team photos, easily email the whole team, and more.
Thanks to the new TeamSnap partnership, GoKid users can connect their GoKid and TeamSnap accounts to pull team rosters and event schedules into GoKid. This means that it’s simple and easy to create carpools for practices, games, and more – no matter how many teams your kids are on, or how hectic their sports schedule gets.
How GoKid Can Make a Difference
So how does it work? Let’s say that your kids, Matt and Amy, are both athletes. This spring, Matt will play soccer and Amy will play lacrosse. You can connect your TeamSnap account to GoKid so that when you set up a carpool, you just have to select Matt’s soccer team or Amy’s lacrosse team and the rosters and schedules for those teams will be downloaded into your GoKid app.
When practices and games begin, you can easily set up carpools for both Matt and Amy. Thanks to the integrated team rosters, you can tell which parents have kids on each team, and easily invite them to carpool and share in the driving. You can ensure that both Matt and Amy get to all of their practices and games, even when they’re held at the same time and in different locations. Share the driving with other parents, and get your kids to their sports practices and competitions without the stress.
With approximately 36,250,000 kids, ages 5-18, playing organized sports in the United States each year, this partnership has the potential to help millions of parents. We’re thrilled to be able to help parents manage their kids’ schedules more effectively and with less stress.
